The third dissemination seminar of marine and maritime R&D&I in the Macaronesian Region was celebrated at PLOCAN within the framework of the SmartBlue (Network of regional marine and maritime clusters for the competitiveness of SMEs in the blue economy) project with the participation of experts on Blue Growth of the Macaronesian region.
During the meeting the dissemination activities that were proposed and developed during the previous seminars were further developed. These dissemination activities include a common website for promotion for the Macaronesian region (MacaronesiaBlue) and the pilot project ‘EDUROVs in Macaronesia’. Moreover, common dissemination activities for 2020 were studied by all the participants in order to develop them.
During this third seminar the attendees were the responsibles for dissemination of the Regional Agency for the Development of Research, Technology and Innovation of Madeira (ARDITI), the Regional Fund for Science and Technology of Azores (FRCT), the Azores Ocean Observatory (OMA), CETECIMA, the Loro Parque Foundation and the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN).
The SmartBlue project is 85% co-funded with ERD funds from the first call for projects of the Interreg MAC 2014-2020 programme and its final endpoint is to promote networks and services to support innovation and internationalisation focused on the concept of regional maritime clusters and aimed at SMEs in blue economy within the MAC co-operation area
