Students of Agricultural and Rural Engineering from the University of La Laguna visit PLOCAN

Students of Agricultural and Rural Engineering from the University of La Laguna visited the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands during their training programme.

The visit started with a presentation that explained the facilities and services of PLOCAN. The presentation highlighted the Multipurpose Offshore Platform, the Test Site and the Marine Observatory. Furthermore, it explained the importance of these facilities and services for the scientific and technological international community and for the development of projects with public and private national and international partners.

Moreover, the students were able to visit the laboratories and the operating room of the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands, where they learnt more about the scientific and technical equipment used in PLOCAN, like the marine gliders or the underwater Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
