The third co-ordination meeting of the Multinational Response and Preparedness to Oil and Chemical Spill (MARPOCS) research project funded by the European Commission to fight marine pollution was held in Casablanca, Morocco, between the 1st and 3rd of March 2017 with the participation of PLOCAN, project partner.

The Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) and the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) have set direct partnership-cooperation within the framework of Educational Passages program. A mini-boat built at VLIZ has been recently shipped to PLOCAN facilities in Gran Canaria, in order to be deployed from a suitable location and aiming to start an exciting sailing-path across the Atlantic.
