The first ROV1 Pilot course imparted in Spain, taught by the company QStar S.L. with the collaboration of PLOCAN was closed on Friday, September 7th, 2012 in Taliarte (Telde). The theoretical and practical course called “ROV Pilot Technician Grade-II”, was intensively conducted between August 24 and Friday, September 7. This is the first certified ROV course held in Spain. The students from Galicia, Asturias, Andalusia and the Canaries, have received their diploma at the ceremony held at the premises of PLOCAN with the participation, José Joaquín Hernández Brito, PLOCAn CEO, José María Sepúlveda director of QStar SL and the Instructor Víctor Sepúlveda.
During the 9th and 10th August took place in waters of Port de La Selva (Girona), the act of final certification and delivery of PLOCAN-1 boat, attended by both members of the shipyard, the certifying entity and PLOCAN Consortium.
Today, July 27th 2012, after two weeks of intense training, has successfully ended the 3rd edition of the Glider Summer School organized by PLOCAN. During that period, students have enjoyed a formative period where both theoretical and practical activities have been entwined to provide them the best possible approach for better understanding and use on underwater glider technology.
The III Conference on Scientific and Technological Infrastructures (ICTS) – Information Technology – was held on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 of July 2012.
