PLOCAN gave a conference on environmental observation in the Macaronesian Region (R3M: Macaronesian Marine-Maritime Network) during the Meteorological Technology World Expo (MTWE), a global event attracting around 200 exhibiting companies and 4,000 attendees from over 100 countries, celebrated in Geneva, Switzerland.
The environmental observation strategy in the Macaronesian Region (R3M: Macaronesian Marine-Maritime Network) is coordinated by the ECOMARPORT project, which includes time series of weather variables. Moreover, the event enabled to discover the latest technological developments and to meet manufacturers and suppliers of systems and equipment used by PLOCAN for monitoring of weather variables under the R3M.
The Meteorological Technology World Expo is an international exhibition of the very latest climate, weather and hydrometeorological forecasting, measurement and analysis technologies and service providers for a worldwide community of key decision makers within the aviation industry, shipping companies, marine/port installations, airports, military operations, off-shore exploration companies, wind farm operators, met offices, agricultural operations and research institutes.
The MTWE is organized by the publisher of Meteorological Technology International magazine, the world’s only publication dedicated to weather, climate and hydrometeorological prediction, measurement and forecasting instruments and services. The April 2019 issue includes an article on the R3M.
